| Pediatric first aid skills are
essential to know for those who care for children on a daily basis.
Although the American Heart Association focuses on prevention of
injuries and illnesses of children, at least half of fatal injuries
could have been prevented by simple actions in the home, childcare
centers and other places. During this course, students will learn about
child safety, how to interact with children, medical and injury
emergencies, environmental emergencies, asthma and inhaled medication
treatment, as well as other important first aid tips. This course does
